What Your Support
Provides
|
There are no ambulances, referral centers or even a hospital
within relevant range, unless a person has wealth that would
allow them to charter a medivac flight to a large city to
get care. There is no one here with that kind of money. At
least, in Duk Payuel, they do have a clinic inspired by John
Dau, a returning “Lost Boy of Sudan” and thanks to the
generosity of committed supporters from all over the world.
- DR. DAVID REED, M.D.

Why JDSF?
- We have a smart,
collaborative approach to transforming healthcare in Southern
Sudan.
-
As someone with
direct ties to Sudan, John Dau knows first-hand the needs of the
country and helps JDSF develop culturally appropriate policies.
- We’ve provided
life-saving healthcare services to more than 5,000 Sudanese
patients to date in an area in Sudan where there are no other
medical facilities within 75 miles.
